Poco Mosso

Documentary, 1993, 78 min.

Documentary portraying the members of the volleyball club of which the director herself has been a member for years. It is striking that virtually all the members have been excluded unvoluntary from work. This applies both to the 'old guard' around 55 and the 'newcomers' in their early forties. The film shows how elements such as insecurity, being led by external norms and the realisation later in life that education and era have played an important role in everyone's life. Poco mosso sketches a picture of a society inculcated with Calvinism. The people portrayed all live a quiet life in the lee of a hectic society: a 'Poco Mosso', the musical term for 'a little lively'.
